Albus Dumbledore, master wizard and Headmaster of Hogwarts, is gay.
J.K. Rowling, author of the mega-selling fantasy series that ended last summer, outed the beloved character Friday night while appearing before a full house at
Carnegie Hall.
After reading briefly from the final book, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," she took questions from audience members.
She was asked by one young fan whether Dumbledore finds "true love."
"Dumbledore is gay," the author responded to gasps and applause.
She then explained that Dumbledore was smitten with rival Gellert Grindelwald, whom he defeated long ago in a battle between good and bad wizards. "Falling in love can blind us to an extent," Rowling said of Dumbledore's feelings, adding that Dumbledore was "horribly, terribly let down."
Dumbledore's love, she observed, was his "great tragedy."
"Oh, my god," Rowling concluded with a laugh, "the fan fiction."
Potter readers on fan sites and elsewhere on the Internet have speculated on the sexuality of Dumbledore, noting that he has no close relationship with women and a mysterious, troubled past. And explicit scenes with Dumbledore already have appeared in fan fiction.
Rowling told the audience that while working on the planned sixth Potter film, "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince," she spotted a reference in the script to a girl who once was of interest to Dumbledore. A note was duly passed to director David Yates, revealing the truth about her character.
Rowling, finishing a brief "Open Book Tour" of the United States, her first tour here since 2000, also said that she regarded her Potter books as a "prolonged argument for tolerance" and urged her fans to "question authority."
Not everyone likes her work, Rowling said, likely referring to Christian groups that have alleged the books promote witchcraft. Her news about Dumbledore, she said, will give them one more reason.

I had red cross yesterday. haha. All i can say that it was rather nice, without any footdrill. One bad news: Siti let out the secret, but i finally know the guy one of CCA members adore. no mentioning of names here. XD. haha. We filled in the forms for the activities we did in red cross for the past few years. Then we sit around and chat. I went home at around 5-6 pm.
It has been raining recently, due to the monsoon winds. As you may know, i will love to sleep during this period. haha. But i had a nightmare last night. I'm quite excited, red cross outing at Vivo later. XD
I dreamt that i was invited to their wedding and i keep seeing him from a distance, yet i am unable to call out his name. I don't know. He invited me and my family=.= to his wedding. I was like.. wth. I will never ever want to go to his wedding, it will only make me cry. I don't want to be wet blanket. This is not only a nightmare, but this happens in real life too. He is going to start his new life together with her. No point trying to ignore this fact, because this is really the truth. I need to forget him, period. I haven't been trying hard to forget him, but i will try, i will try.

Happy Hari Raya ! haha. I've spent the whole day playing maple. it's been like a year ever since i last played it. So i kinda missed playing it. I trained hard today at Kerning intially, to lvl 45, then head off to FM to buy an esther shield.I'm officially broke. The esther shield cost about 1 499 999 mesos, but it's worth it because it has magical defense, unlike the previous panlid. i also went to the new wedding town. god, it is LOVELY. haha, it makes me want to get married in real life, with those beautiful scenery and of course, walking down the aisle with my Mr Right. yaya, i know you guys are laughing at me for being such a dreamer. =P nvm, i shall let the pictures do the talking. hehe.

hi people. I don't know why but i feel like blogging all of a sudden. hahas, i'm addicted to blogging lately. yea, i have really decided to go POLY. haha. I know that's a decision i had made long time ago, but i was still thinking about the courses that time. I have decided to go to the business course. Well, i'm very confused with chemical reactions and equations now. I certainly wouldn't like to face them again in future. My love for chemistry is now lost and gone for good. yea, i'm sick of failing. JC life is difficult. U need to be really good in English and have a great amt of knowledge for the general paper. I don't read widely and my English sucks, so i think i will die in JC. Furthermore, if you go JC, if you happen to fail or stuff like that, you have to go poly. I'm so not gonna waste my time in JC then go poly. I might as well go to poly in the beginning. Maybe i will work and study at the same time. haha, it would be a joy if i do not have to sing the anthem two times every morning in school.
i don't know if all these are true but i heard my mum and my relatives telling me that Poly is better. I trust them, so i'm certainly heaidng down the poly route. For business courses, i need maths, humans, english. I don't even need science, so i don't have to let myself suffer now by learning pure science. i can take combined science instead.

I went to school today and the first person who greeted me was him. he greeted me, "good morning". i smiled back and greeted him back. Man, my hair is like gfjdshfhdter and i bet i am blushing. i know u are laughing ur head out but i am really happy. XinYi reckons that he begins to recognize me by now, after the disastrous time I went forward to ask him something. Well, i don't know whether i should be glad or guilty about it. I mean, you would be really glad when ur crush greeted u, who wouldn't? Yet, i don't want him to know who i am, i rather be a mystery person to him. i am a weird person, i know.

I don't know why i suddenly feel like blogging all of a sudden. hahas, so here i am, blogging. It's a Saturday today. Great, isn't it? I've been waiting for the weekend to approach since Monday. yea, after thinking it through, studies, well, as long as you've done ur very best, you should not have any regrets at all. Besides, there's more to life than studies. Studies is just one process. There are many other process and levels in our life. Life is like in a computer game. This is beginning. At the beginning, everything will seem difficult but
we will learn, eventually.
I woke at around 9.20am today. haha, had a really nice dream. Life works in such a weird way sometimes. The one you love can hurt you then by thinking about him, your life seemed to have brightened up. haha. I've plenty to say today, so bear with me, people. haha.
There are thousands of things i wish i could do. haha, so i shall start talking crap XD.
i wish ... i wish.
i wish i could be a brainy geek during the exams, and could score a whole stream fo a1 for all my subjects.
i wish i am rich, so that i have no limitations to clothes, bags, books and movie tickets.
i wish i am rich, so that i can travel around the world, esp countries like France, Italy.
i swear that i will be thre someday. Paris, Venice.. wait for me...

haha. i'm so gonna fail my studies this time. its an inevitable thing. nothing can prevent it from happening. I'm also considering about dropping pure science. yea, it's a heartbreaking decision but i can't afford to fail both my sciences during the Os right? Maybe i am not cut out for science. i used to love it so much, you know? I used to look forward to every science lesson and listen eagerly during the lessons., but it's a completely different thing now. Ever since Mrs Singh started learning the dumbo idiotic chapter 9(the Mole), my results for chemistry has been dropping like hell. It just sucks so much. Physics, i dunno. You have to admit that it is a very very interesting subject but one bad thing about it is that it's really difficult to score. terribly difficult. For those who cna pass the paper, in fact both science paper, i will reagrd them as pure genius. The exams are really really difficult.
I had E maths 2 and chemistry 1 today. e maths wasn't so bad but chemistry? haha. i'm guessing the numbers all the time, stupid right? yea, i know i'm stupid. That's why it is vital for me to drop pure science. It's so super duper discouraging. All my hard work last year to get into the pure science streams turn into shit. I got into my dream class, but it turned out to be a nightmare. no, It's not the problem with the class, it's the problem with the dumbo pure science. haiz.. to think that i actually love science yet i can't score well in it. Maybe having the passion for it is not enough, you've got to have the talent for it. I don't understand how the authorities is thinking . By setting such a difficult paper, those people who actually have passion in the subject is forced to drop it. By doing this, aren't they decreasing the no. of scientists/engineers in the world? Then those who can score in it and become the future 'scientists, are they going to use science as an opportunity to earn money. Boy, that would be terrible. Scientists should benefit the mankind with their passion for science not money. What's the world coming to now?
Anyway, after the exams today, Xinyi and me intended to go take neoprints but it seemed like all the neoprint shops in the world has disappeared into thin air. So we slacked at my house. haha. Firstly, we tried to predict our future and love lifes using tarot cards. Mine's partially accurate about how i am so brainwashed by love, how i secretly like someone and all.. haha. then we watched Walt Disney's Sleeping Beauty. haha. If only true love exist now, but in this 21st century, it's very hard to find true love, it would be like hoping for rain in a long drought. yea, Xinyi also saw my primary school diary and laughed like hell. haha, if only i can turn back time. my science used to be that kind of ok ok de, now it turned into shit. i used to get 72 for english . haha. If my english can get 72 this time, i bet all the dinosaurs will return to the Earth again. My maths used to be really sucky last time and i blame the stupid seciton C. all those sickening hard questions. Life in primary school is easier, but i couldn't find nice friends that time. Life in secondary school is harder but i found people who i simply cannot live without. I think life's kinda game. u have to take your pick coz you can't have everything in life.

hi people. i'm rather down right now. i now i had already failed two of my favourite subjects drastically. I know that the teachers who set these papers are not at fault. he set the physics paper and i really.. i can really die doing the paper. It's a bit discouraging, isn't it? I entered secondary 3 with such high hopes and after working so hard to get into the pure science stream, i failed two sciences. Sometimes i even wondered why i have to work so hard. I used to love science so much., but i now began to fail it. I really don't want two f9s to appear in my report card. I will be letting my mum down. i heard people said that once you tried your best. you will never regret. But its is really true? I don't think i tried my best in this physics paper. I'll be letting so many people down. I even let myself down. I can't even pass the two subjects that i love, how can i ever pursue my dreams? to be without dreams is to be without purpose, and yet i feel so hopeless now. I see no point in studying anymore as i will still fail no matter what. haiz.. i used to think that in life, we should be happy. Now its even hard to do that. How can a person remained as happy as before when he/she has already flunked her two favourite subjects? oh god, i don't even know how i am going to take my o levels next year. everything just suck so much.

hi people. This is just a quick update before i go back to studying( ok, just the thought of it make me sick). haha. 3 more subjects then i can fly. Not literally fly, but i can jump and scream and play all i want. i will have all the time in the world by then. hehes.
As those observant people would have noticed, i changed my blogskin. Again. However, this new blogskin has a romantic feel to it and kinda emo. I love some of the lines in the pictures like, "they told me i am crazy...just a case of too much missing you". haha. listen closely to the song in the background. It's "Crush" by Mandy Moore. It's really nice. ok. i have to go mug for chemistry, a subject that i used to score well in but suck at it now, but i am not going to give up!. *punches hand in the air* haha. Anyway, good luck , people. After these three subjects, i can jump in glee.
